Swiss Membrini collection

Gallery - March 2023

We were proud to announce the arrival of the Membrini collection in our gallery. This museum-quality collection has been carefully selected over many years by the company Membrini Kristall from Chur, Switzerland. A company with an outstanding worldwide reputation for crystals.

Our clients were welcome on Sunday 12 March to be the first to see the special pieces from this wonderful collection while enjoying a bite and a drink.

About the collection

Museum quality

The Membrini collection is museum-quality and has been carefully curated over many years by Membrini Kristall, a company based in Chur, Switzerland. A company with a worldwide excellent reputation for crystals.

Hard working pays off

Also a family business

Like Stone gallery, Membrini Kristall is a family business with a long history. Founder Paul Membrini was a well-known 'strahler'. A 'strahler' is a professional crystal prospector whose working area is the Alps.

No guts no glory

Neck-breaking feats

Impressive are the photos showing Paul, hanging from climbing ropes at high altitude, risking his life in search of new crystals. A recognised alpinist/expert, he found very special pieces in the Swiss Alps.

To The Netherlands

The second generation, Romeo & Rosita Membrini, went international with Membrini Kristall and also gave the collection an international character. Recently, the third generation took over the family business, focusing on jewellery, smaller gemstones and minerals.

This gave Stone gallery the unique opportunity to bring the large museum pieces from the Membrini collection to the Netherlands.

Great variety

The Membrini collection consists of a variety of rock crystal clusters, citrine, smoky quartz, feldspar, amethyst and petrified wood. Many pieces are of museum quality and size, for example, a prominent piece has already found its way to Museum Naturalis in Leiden.

With great precision, all pieces are fixed for transport

Unique video

We also made the video below for the event.
